With exactly a week to go for Father’s Day, we are sure you must have planned something very special for your real-life superheroes! Families across the world usually spend this special day at home. If the little ones have already decided on the gift, we’d say it’s time to also throw in another surprise on that very day. How about little hands trying their hand at helping you in the kitchen with the making of one or all the below mentioned easy yummy recipes this Father’s Day?
Presenting not one, but three Father’s Day recipes as last-minute gifts for your lovely superhero.
Start off the recipe preparation with this yummy and tangy starter. This one can be made with a variety of vegetables and the lemon just gives it a sweet and sour taste. Ingredients: 1. One cup fresh or frozen corn, boiled 2. 1-2 Green chilies, finely chopped 3. 1/2 Cup chopped cucumber 4. One tomato finely chopped 5. One onion, chopped 6. 2 Tablespoons grated carrot 7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder 8. 1/2 Teaspoon chaat masala powder 9. 1 Teaspoon lime juice 10. Salt to taste Preparation: 1. Mix boiled corn, chopped green chili, chopped cucumber, coriander leaves, chopped tomato, chopped onion in a big bowl. 2. Sprinkle salt, black pepper powder, and chaat masala powder. Add lime juice and toss gently to mix well. 3. Add grated cheese to it and again toss few times. 4. Corn salad is ready. Serve it as an accompaniment.1. Corn Salad
Moving onto the main course, make this classic hand-tossed pad Thai noodles and get gorging on them while watching your favorite movie on a Sunday afternoon this Father’s Day. Just help your little ones in veggie chopping and you are good to go. Ingredients: 1. 200 Grams- Flat boiled noodles 2. Bean sprouts seeded – Medium 3. 2 Tablespoons Oil 4. 5-6 Spring onions chopped 5. 5-6 Garlic chopped cloves 6. 5-6 Florets of broccoli 7. 6-8 Button mushrooms sliced 8. Yellow capsicum seeded – Medium 9. One small green capsicum – seeded 10. 2 Medium – Carrots thin strips 11. Salt to taste 12. One teaspoon – Soy sauce 13. 2 Tablespoons brown sugar 14. One fresh red chilies diagonally sliced 15. One stalk- Spring onion greens chopped 16. 3 Teaspoons – Roasted peanuts coarsely ground 17. One tbsp lemon juice 18. 1/2 Cup bean sprouts Preparation: 1. Heat oil in a pan. 2. Add onion, garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, three colored capsicums and carrots, and toss. 3. Add noodles, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar, and toss some more. Add fresh red chili and toss again. 4. Add spring onion greens and most of the roasted peanuts and toss. Transfer into a serving dish. 5. Add lemon juice and bean sprouts. 6. Top with the remaining roasted peanuts and serve hot.2. Pad Thai Noodles
What’s a celebration without indulging in some sweet-savory! This one is the easiest of the lot and requires minimal effort and time. Ingredients: 1. 1/4 Cup all-purpose flour 2. 1/4 Cup white sugar 3. 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 4. 1/8 teaspoon baking soda 5. 3 Tablespoons milk 6. One tablespoon water 7. 2 Tablespoons canola oil 8. 1/4 Teaspoon vanilla extract Preparation: 1. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a microwave-safe mug; stir in milk, canola oil, water, and vanilla extract. 2. Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute 45 seconds. With the help of a knife check the consistency of the cake. 3. It should be semi-moist. Your mug cake is ready.3. Chocolate Mug Cake
