Families across the world usually spend this special day at home. For some, it might be a planned vacation while for others it’s just another beautiful Sunday with their loved ones. In case you haven’t thought of anything so far, mommies get your kids in the kitchen and make some yummy recipes this Father’s Day. 1. Corn Salad

  • Servings: 2-3

Start off the recipe preparation with this yummy and tangy starter. This one can be made with a variety of vegetables and the lemon just gives it sweet and sour taste.

Ingredients:

1 Cup fresh or frozen corn, boiled,1-2 Green Chillies, finely chopped,1/2 Cup chopped Cucumber,1 Tomato finely chopped,1 Onion, chopped, 2 Tablespoons grated carrot,1/4 Teaspoon black pepper powder, 1/2 Teaspoon chaat masala powder,1 Teaspoon lime juice, Salt to taste

Preparation:

Mix boiled corn, chopped green chili, chopped cucumber, coriander leaves, chopped tomato, chopped onion in a big bowl. Sprinkle salt, black pepper powder, and chaat masala powder. Add lime juice and toss gently to mix well. Add grated cheese to it and again toss few times. Corn salad is ready. Serve it as an accompaniment.Fathers Day Recipes 02

2. Pad Thai Noodles

Moving onto the main course, make this classic hand tossed pad Thai noodles and get gorging on them while watching your favorite movie on a Sunday afternoon this Father’s Day. Just help your little ones in veggie chopping and you are good to go.

Ingredients:

Flat noodles boiled 200 grams, Bean sprouts seeded 1/2 medium, Oil 2 tablespoons, Spring onions chopped 5-6, Garlic chopped 5-6 cloves, Broccoli 5-6 florets, Button mushrooms sliced 6-8, Yellow capsicum seeded 1/2 medium, Green capsicum seeded 1 small, Carrots thin strips 2 medium, Salt to taste, Soy sauce 1 teaspoon, Brown sugar 2 tablespoons, Fresh red chillies diagonally sliced 1, Spring onion greens chopped 1 stalk, Roasted peanuts coarsely ground 3 tablespoons, Lemon juice 1 tablespoon, Bean sprouts 1/2 cup.

Preparation:

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, garlic, broccoli, mushrooms, three colored capsicums and carrots, and toss. Add noodles, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar and toss some more. Add fresh red chili and toss again. Add spring onion greens and most of the roasted peanuts and toss. Transfer into a serving dish. Add lemon juice and bean sprouts. 3. Chocolate Mug Cake

What’s a celebration without indulging in some sweet-savory! This one is the easiest of the lot and requires minimal effort and time.

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 Cup white sugar, 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/8 Teaspoon baking soda, 3 Tablespoons milk, 1 Tablespoon water, 2 Tablespoons canola oil, 1/4 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a microwave-safe mug; stir in milk, canola oil, water, and vanilla extract. Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute 45 seconds.
