The Peshawar school must be reeking of pain and despair..
“My heart bleeds. I am so disturbed. The thoughts are not letting me breathe in peace. Not because I am a mother, but because nobody is destined to meet an end such as this one. Those children, imagine, what they must have gone through, hours, minutes and seconds before they closed their eyes one last time. I shiver thinking about their families. Mothers and fathers waking them up in the morning, dressing them up, feeding them well, hugging them tight, kissing on their foreheads, humming them their favorite tunes, walking them to the school, preparing them..preparing them for what?”
Once upon a time, there used to be a school, so full of children,
Singing and dancing, having lunch together, now look at the ground, it looks so barren.
The walls, once paid tribute to brave soldiers,
What hangs there now are the bullet marks and body holders.
The classroom once had a desk with scribbles of one, two and three,
Know what I see now? Heaps and heaps of debris.
Damaged walls, floors, blood all over,
My heart is weeping from inside for those souls have become rovers.
But why those souls? They were only children and had no souls?
Because, they were sent just for this day, to get lost in a damn black hole.
I cry and cry for those little bodies,
It is like my heart, my soul has been snoddied.
Singing and dancing, having lunch together, now look at the ground, it looks so barren,
Once upon a time, there used to be a school, so full of children.
