Early Development And Education Of Children In Preschool Years

There is no magic solution that will ensure successful personal and career growth throughout life, but careful research shows that the early development of children and their quality education in preschool age is a great help in schooling, in professional activities, in the personal and social sphere. Early development and education of children in preschool years is the key to their success In life.

“The sooner the better” – the perfect answer to the question of when to start educating a child. It may seem surprising, but the peculiarity of the development of preschool children is that the influence of life experience that they receive in these years is disproportionately large compared to later age.

Early Development And Education Of Children:

If the child lags behind in education in the early years, there is a chance that he will not be able to catch up later. It will be harder and more expensive to correct the loss than to train at a young age. The good news is that high-quality and effective educational programs for preschoolers can have a strong long-term effect, regardless of belonging to a particular economic or national group.

Scientific research:

Perhaps the most quoted research on this topic – is the American Perry High Scope Preschool Experiment, which was randomly selected 123 children at risk from poor black families and divided into a control group and a group that trained on high-quality method of the early development of children. The participants in the experiment were observed from the age of three to 50 years.

The impact of the training was very noticeable:

1. 65% of children who completed the educational program completed school, compared with 45% of the control group.

2. By the age of forty, the average annual income of those trained was $ 20800, and in the control group – $ 15 300.

3. Researchers noted that people who completed the program were more likely to find work, start a family, raise children, own their own home and car, were less likely to be arrested, and less likely to have drug problems.

4. Another study studied the results of tests in kindergartens, trying to predict whether the child will receive higher education in the future and how prestigious it will be, among other indicators of adult success.

His results also showed that educational programs for the early development of preschool children give an increase in income from 0.33 % to 3.5%. This may seem insignificant, but in sum, it means an increase in total income from $9,000 to $30,000. And this is after deducting the cost of training.

Considering such education at the national level in the United States, if all children will participate in early childhood development programs in preparation for school as much as children from wealthy families, then the number of those who enter universities will increase by 13%. This will be equivalent to from 4.8 to 16.1 billion dollars in total income over a lifetime, taking into account the cost of training. This suggests that early childhood education programs have long-term benefits that far outweigh the cost. But that is not all.

Of course, early childhood development programs in preschool children are not a magic wand, with the help of which, all children in the future will expect success in learning, career, and life. Many other factors matter. But the results of numerous studies say that the economic and social benefits of early learning are significant and long-term. They affect not only individual preschool children, but also society as a whole.

Not surprisingly, there are movements in the United States that promote the idea of quality education for preschoolers. They understand that such education is often available only to wealthy families, while the poor are simply ignored. Only a third of four-year-old American children have access to early learning programs, even though they exist in 40 states.

Conclusions for Preschool Education:

It is clear that the education system in other countries is different from the American one. In most countries, the high availability of preschool education for children aged 3 to 7 years is high, it is 99% and the training and education program is regulated by state standards.

Therefore, in the development of young children, it is important to adhere to certain principles:

1. The principle of science: The child should receive only real knowledge if simplified to sketchiness or distorted – this can incorrectly form the base and distort the preschooler’s ideas about the world around him.

2. The principle of visibility. In order to better learn new things, it is better to see an image, touch an object, count toys, and not imagine in the mind. You can do this by giving the top best baby memory books to learn.

3. The principle of accessibility. The child must understand the material, it must correspond to his age and development. To control this, the teacher needs to diagnose the level of knowledge.

4. The principle of active participation. A pre-schooler learns only the knowledge that was interesting to him, in the acquisition of which he himself participated.

5. The principle of consistency. From simple to complex, all knowledge should be based on previous experience.

6. The principle of an individual approach. Children should learn differently, not only depending on age, but also on the speed of perception, speed of thinking, perseverance, behavior in general.

The principle of the relationship of learning and development. You need to be patient if something is not given to the pre-schooler right now.
