Apple Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 Apple steamed and mashed
- 1 Banana optional
- Less than 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Peel, core and cut an apple into chunks and place them into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover the chunks.
- Now boil or steam until tender.To achieve a smooth consistency (which is imperative while feeding baby food at stage 1), mash the boiled apple with a potato masher.
- If that doesn’t work, make a puree by blending it with a hand-blender. Isn’t the recipe REALLY easy and healthy snack
Sweet Potato Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 pieces of sweet potatoes steamed and mashed
- Less than 1/2 cup water
- Table salt and pepper for seasoning
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash and poke holes in sweet potato with a fork then wrap sweet potatoes in tin foil – do not peel for baking in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes (until soft).
- You can also opt for microwaving, just that you must use plastic wrap and cook for about 30 minutes until tender
