3 Ideas for Christmas crafts for kids:
When you are swamped with work and other arrangements, delegate the Christmas decorations to your little ones. Let them relish the thrill of doing their part in Christmas crafts. After the easy paper crafts for kids, this year we are sharing three easy 5 minute crafts for kids, shared by a few talented momstagrammers.
1. Santa in the chimney
This is a craft for which your child might need your assistance for cutting and pasting. You can see the magical smile on your little one’s face when Santa peeps out of the chimney.
Materials Required
- Brown paper bag
- A medium-size drawing of Santa
- Sketch pen/ color pencils
- Red paint
- Brush
- Black marker
- 1 icecream stick
- Cotton
- Scissors
- Fevicol
- Paint the front side of the paper bag with red color leaving an inch or two on top as shown in the pic.
2. Either take the printout of Santa on thick paper or stick the drawing on cardboard for support. Your child can join you in coloring the Santa.
3..Cover the white portions by sticking cotton to define Santa’s beard, hair, and the helm of the dress.
4. Draw the bricks of the chimney using a black marker. Stick a thin layer of cotton on the top to give the snow effect.
5. Cut one side of the chimney using scissors leaving the top and bottom ends.
6. Fix an ice cream stick on Santa’s back as shown in the picture.
7. Put the Santa inside the chimney and insert the end of the ice cream stick through the gap in the sides. (refer to picture). That’s it, the Santa is ready to peep out of the chimney. This is one of the crafts for kids that could be used as a toy as well.

2. Cloth Snowman
There would not be a child who doesn’t like this stout and cute little guy made of snow. While we can’t keep a snowman inside our house, we can very well roll it up with a simple art and craft idea. The USP of these five-minute ideas for Christmas crafts is that we need minimal ingredients and nominal time.
Materials required
- A big cloth
- A small cloth
- 2 Pompoms
- A small ball
- Red socks
- Rubber bands
- 2 Pins
Methodology
- Cover the ball with the big cloth and tie a knot on the top as shown in the picture. Secure it with a rubber band.
2. Take the small cloth to cover the knot, and neatly fix it using a rubber band. Fix the pins to form the eyes of the snowman.
3. Place the socks on top of the covered knot to form the cap. Fix the pom-poms in the center as the buttons and tie the ribbons around the neck. The adorable and handsome snowman is ready to tiptoe around. I am sure your kids would want more art and craft after this delightful five-minute crafts DIY.

3. Christmas Wreath
If you need more ideas for Christmas crafts, here it is. Christmas decorations are never complete without a wreath. Why spend a fortune or waste hours on art and craft if you can do it in five minutes? This craft is kids’ favorite because it is one of the easiest crafts for kids.
Materials Required
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Compass
- Artificial pine leaves
- Artificial fruits
- Glue
Methodology
- Draw two circles two inches apart on the cardboard and cut through the lines with scissors. Now we have the ring of the wreath.
2. Cut the artificial pine leaves and paste the pieces on the ring as shown in the picture.
3. Now the rim of the wreath is ready. The next step is to decorate the wreath. Take the artificial fruits and paste them on the leaves. Make sure the fruits are not stuck to the cardboard.
4. Here we go! The wreath is ready to adorn your house. Hang it near the Christmas tree or on your door as shown in the picture. Can you see the excitement of the little one there!
