4 foods to avoid during pregnancy

Wondering what all foods to avoid when pregnant? Here is a list of 4 foods that should be completely avoided specially in the most crucial phase of pregnancy, i.e. first trimester!

A. Papaya: This wonderful fruit should be avoided at any cost. It contains a latex substance which is rich in enzyme Papain that may cause contractions of the uterus.

B. Pineapple: This tropical fruit has Bromelain (known to slow blood clotting) which can cause softening of the cervix leading to an immature labour.

C. Certain fish variety: Some seafood has too much mercury content which hampers the developing nervous system of a baby. Just remember that a big-sized fish will have more mercury. Therefore, it is advised to avoid Shellfish, Shark, Swordfish, Tilefish and King Mackerel at any cost.

D. Herbal Tea: Please avoid it during pregnancy. Herbal leaves can have an impact on baby’s development.
