TCT wishes you all a very Happy Siblings Day!

Sibling: noun

  1. each of two or more children or offspring having one or both parents in common; a brother or sister.
    synonyms:
    brothers and/or sisters– OK
“the birth of a sibling is a stressful event in the life of a child– LOL!

My brother, Manik is 7 years younger than me, but he has been a friend all through. There are days and weeks and months of no interaction, however, one look at him, after all, those days of missing action (or drama so to speak) comes back! We have similar taste in music, movies and, even though, our sense of humor is pretty dry but then that’s what life is all about. As kids, we grew up in a joint family setup! Six children (from a year old to a 10-year-old!) running around in the courtyard, laughing at each other, making fun, dancing away to glory, throwing away crisps and cheerios at each other and spilling milk on the floor, sharing noodles from the same bowl and chasing butterflies in the garden.. That was our life back then..Today, as we look back, we see such fond memories. Happy Siblings Day

He is going to another city to pursue higher education! I wish him heaps of luck.

Mom and dad, you make us proud. The way you have raised us, for educating us, teaching us such good values, making us independent, creative, intellectual.. our spirits and thoughts are free. All thanks to you for this and more! Besides, Thank you for gifting me an amazing sibling.Happy Siblings Day 03

  1. Aw, siblings are great, aren’t they?! My brother is 3 years my junior, and as most siblings do, we hated each other, growing up, but once he went to boarding school, the old adage, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ was so true! We live each other to birs, and he is in a different country now, so we speak rarely, but the connection is there… ❤️

  2. I have a brother 2 and a half years younger to me. We have nothing in common since childhood apart from, yes, our parents. I have been a quiet child and he has been loud. I was the thinker, he was the doer. I preferred going unnoticed when at a social gathering and he was and is the livewire. We have also fought like deadly enemies (khoon ke pyaase types) with one another but we would become a team dealing and fighting with cousins. This post brought back the fond memories of my childhood.
