How true! There is an extension to this when the kid starts going to school. It is expected from a SAHM to put in half an hour to wake up the child, get him ready, make his breakfast, mKe him eat it all, dropping and picking him up from school, feed him lunch, get his homework done, work on the skills he is lagging in, go for his extra curricular, take him to the park to play and all. In between this, getting yourself and the house tidied up if time permits. Husband will come back home from office with a backache, will cry out loud about it asking you to apply ointment saying it is so easy for you that you stay at home.
The time between my kids bedtime and mine are the golden hours!
This is all so true and still the best job I’ve ever had. I love being a SAHM!! I feel I’m the lucky one!
Absolutely! Best job ever 🙂
I have been on both ends. Both are difficult and both have their rewards. Being a mom in general is tough work. When I would stay home, my husband would get mad often when I would hand him out daughter when he came home. He would say, I worked all day too. I would reply, “Well at least you got a lunch break.”
I know. Same here. Before Brat H happened, I wasa full-time PR professional. and now that I am a SAHM, my husband says just the same. Atleast we get to take an afternoon nap. But, on the contrary, we dont!
