Apple sauce is packed with iron, Vitamin A, C and minerals such as Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium which are very good for your baby’s growth and development.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Apple steamed and mashed
  • 1 Banana optional
  • Less than 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core and cut an apple into chunks and place them into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover the chunks.
  • Now boil or steam until tender.To achieve a smooth consistency (which is imperative while feeding baby food at stage 1), mash the boiled apple with a potato masher.
  • If that doesn’t work, make a puree by blending it with a hand-blender. Isn’t the recipe REALLY easy and healthy snack

Sweet Potato Sauce

Sweet potato is a healthy food item. It has Vitamin A, C, and Folate. Sweet potato is also rich in Potassium, Sodium, Selenium, Phosphorous, Magnesium, and Calcium.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 or 2 pieces of sweet potatoes steamed and mashed
  • Less than 1/2 cup water
  • Table salt and pepper for seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly wash and poke holes in sweet potato with a fork then wrap sweet potatoes in tin foil – do not peel for baking in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes (until soft).
  • You can also opt for microwaving, just that you must use plastic wrap and cook for about 30 minutes until tender
