The moment the little heart starts beating inside us, we start the preparations to welcome the little one. We track their growth week by with and compare it with the charts available online. Babies in the womb are monitored so much so that a slight variation in their weight would send the mother into panic mode. Without knowing the fact the babies grow differently as per their gender, origin, color, and race we get worried about their inadequate growth.

On average, female babies spend a day longer in the womb than male babies. White babies, on average, spend five days longer inside their mothers than black babies, while Indian babies spend six days longer in the womb than white babies.

The experts are still unable to fathom the reason behind this strange fact. Hence they would not state it officially. Nonetheless, the study has to be substantiated with extensive research.

Speaking of growth, new baby girls who are preterm and underweight pick faster than the boys in the same situation. For instance, the girl born in the eighth month with 2 kg weight need not be kept in a warmer but if it’s a boy, the station is different as he would not be able to maintain the body temperature. Isn’t a strange fact, especially when women are generally called a weak gender.
