Is There A Cure For Love Addiction?

A mother’s love for her child is unfathomable. We cannot measure the level of selfless love she feels for her child. This is because loving her child selflessly is her choice that she makes involuntarily. If getting too attached to something you cannot live without it is called addiction, a mother is a victim of addiction – Love addiction.

A mother’s love addiction:

When he wakes up, I just kiss him a morning full of sunshine. And then later in the day, endless kisses that bring a smile on his striking face.  Sometimes I feel that he really likes the touch of my warm lips against his skin. And then his sticky hands caressing my neck and my chin. It is so heavenly! His syrupy saliva oozing out such scented affections, smudging my fingers with the appetite of childhood…motherhood…parenthood. The love addiction.

When he feels drowsy, I gently pat on his back while he rests his head on my shoulder, his breath so intoxicating. This is what I miss while he sleeps. I long for his gentle strokes, his giggles, his fond touches. When he wakes up I just kiss him an evening full of starry light. I lift him up and put him against my body, gently pat on his back while he rests his head on my shoulder. And then later in the night, my endless kisses that bring a smile on his striking face.

That’s motherhood…the addiction of selfless love.
